Software Architect to work in our customer site at Springfield VA.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and skill-set helping the US BICES-X war fighters accomplish their important mission.
US BICES-X is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations.
With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions.
We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
What Will You DoDemonstrate initiative and expertise resulting in new technical capabilities and approaches.
Design and code software components units for windows/web-based technologies.
Design data analytics tool setsPerform full spectrum of software development lifecycle (SDLC), to include systems modeling, simulation, analysis, testing and debugging assigned components and units.
Participate in internal and customer meetings, identify unique use cases, and implement information technology solutions/initiatives.
Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Test and debug assigned components and units.
Participate in large system and subsystem planning.
Collaborate with system engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.
Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
Enhance team capabilities, improve security, and maximize software development Return On Investment.
Mentor teammates, as needed on software best practices.
Maintain all agreed upon professional and technical certifications.
What Sets you Apart (job qualifications)Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field; additional years of related work experience required in lieu of a degree.
15 years of related software development experience.
A current DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI level of clearanceExpert level of knowledge in software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Proficient with hardware, software, and systems associated with software engineering.
10 or more years of experience with programming in Microsoft.
NET Technologies10 or more years of experience with database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)Adept with Solution Design Patterns and Best PracticesExpert with Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
A current CompTIA Sec
certificationPreferred Qualifications (nice to have)10 or more years of experience with source control systems (i.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.
00 - $182,000.
00 - $245,700.
