We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our expanding business.
This position is located with our client in the Washington, D.
C.
Metro Area but is currently on a hybrid contract.
The Data Analyst will report to Dignari program leadership and to the federal client supporting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) within the U.
S.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
POSITION
Responsibilities:
Translates data into business insights, essentially converting numbers into stories that can guide business decisions.
Demonstrates a passion for understanding the what and whys of data.
Works in a collaborative environment with various project teams to support DHS - TSA analytics and data visualizations.
Provides various areas of data governance and data hygiene to ensure data accuracy.
Provides advice, assistance and written recommendations based on data analysis and results to inform client decisions.
Communicates with the PowerBI and data team members to provide accurate analytics and reports for clients.
Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of reports and data requests.
Required to develop a broad understanding of data sets available.
Assists with the development implementation, and maintenance of good and accurate data flowing from User inputs to reporting outputs.
Develops and maintains quality control standard and data reconciliation techniques for internal and external reporting.
Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Understands current state processes and recommends improvements to make programs and processes more efficient and effective.
Understands client needs and pain points to recommend requirements in DHS data systems.
Promotes compliance with agreed data governance principles, and where necessary, takes action to respond to improper activities in relation to secondary use of data.
Analizes data from relational databases and understand data structures.
Explains and documents complex methodologies in plain language.
Liaisons with the technical development team by articulating operational and mission needs.
