The Fuel Pricing Analyst is responsible for pricing recommendations to maximize volume and profit.
Using industry related pricing databases and competitive information, this role examines pricing strategies, analyzes and tracks pricing trends, studies consumer spending patterns and generates daily reports.
This position requires high levels of collaboration with cross functional colleagues, a comfort with data analytics, and the ability to generate insights from large amounts of disparate data.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial and pricing models, and will be able to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
The Pricing Analyst will also be responsible for conducting competitive analysis, monitoring pricing changes, and providing detailed reports on pricing trends.

Responsibilities:
Analyze pricing data to identify trends and opportunities.
Develop pricing strategies and tactics to maximize profits.
Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and needs.
Analyze competitor pricing strategies and recommend changes accordingly.
Monitor pricing trends in the industry and adjust strategies accordingly.
Develop models to analyze the impact of pricing changes on sales and profitability.
Provide recommendations on pricing strategies to senior management.
Job Duties:
Pricing Set daily pricing for fuel supplied sites Must be willing to manage and execute fuel pricing strategies daily Data Analytics Interpret vast amounts of data to drive insights and recommendations Monitor fuel sales, margin, and competitor behavior Research Leverage industry specific data bases and competitive information Report in a timely manner any situation which may impact fuel sales Identify and monitor key daily sources of news and events impacting the petroleum industry; proactively share relevant themes with management Reporting Develop and distribute reports that enable decision making and price setting Provide an understanding of cost of products and profit margins Provide chart and/or analytical analysis to senior management as required/requested Third Party relationship management Communicate with field personnel, site operators, dealer locations, vendors, contractors, and suppliers in reference to pricing, inventory, and supply problems Maintain and operate pricing software tools/technology Cross Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Contribute to the implementation of refined tools or methods focused on improving the department's efficiency Collaborate with others in Operations, including field personnel, troubleshooting fuel operational issues, and identifying changes in the competitive landscape Job Type:
