CSCI seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to to join our Finance department at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, VAFor more than 30 years, CSCI has been a trusted defense industry partner, providing unbiased program recommendations to manage risk and guide strategic decision-makingThe successful candidate will provide support in our Accounts Payable department and possess the ability to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure, meet all deadlines and be a strong team playerIf you are interested in joining our team, please applyThe candidate will report to the ControllerThis position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidateThis job has the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule after the first three monthsHowever, this is subject to change according to business needs or contractual obligationsResponsibilitieso Process Accounts Payable for multiple companies, with attention to detail;o Manage vendor statements;o Reconcile corporate credit cards;o Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, as a team player, with the ability to problem solve ;o Ability to process a high volume of invoices in Costpoint accurately and efficiently; understand what you're inputting and, if necessary, ask questions;o Perform work by GAAP and Federal Acquisition Regulations;o Reconciliation of AP GL responsibilities; prepaid and deposit accounts;o Responsible for entry of Fixed Assets as well as monthly depreciation;o Process of expense reports; ando Assist with audit needsSkillso Must have experience with Deltek CostPoint.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
o General knowledge of government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
o Ability to adapt and multi-task, managing and process from multiple mailboxes.
o Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
o Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
o Strong critical thinking skills required to solve complex problems and recommend solutions
Experience:
o Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
o Must have experience with Deltek CostPoint.
o Proficiency in Excel, Deltek Costpont 8, specifically Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Expense Report modulesPreferred
Qualifications:
o Experience with small to medium-sized company experience.
o Govcon experience preferred.
o CPA preferredEducation:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeRequirements - US Citizen Training/Certifications:
CPA preferred, but not requiredU.
