Summary Join Our Team and support the role of:
Protective Security Officer (PSO) where you will be responsible for access control and detecting, delaying, detaining, and/or apprehending persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property or otherwise violating laws, rules, and regulationsThe PSO shall also identify, report, delay, or detain those persons who violate the rules and regulations as appropriate and in accordance with Post OrdersPSOs must also remain vigilant to observe and provide emergency response to a variety of hazardsThe rate of pay for this position is $28.
32 per hourResponsibilities Here's a brief description of daily duties:
o Provide on-site protection serviceso Perform all tasks in accordance with the duties outlined in Post Orderso Shall not deviate from the directions provided by the Post Orders except in emergencies or as directed by the CORo Perform a variety of security-related duties, depending on the type of posts assignedo Provide briefings to on-coming PSOs of the recent, continuing, or anticipated events and occurrences for the posto Maintain logs, reports, and files of all incidents and occurrences encountered during the tour of dutyo Provide personal escort services for designated personnel, visitors, etc.
, when directed to do so by the CORo Ensure compliance with the contract and to meet customer needso Read and become familiar with Security Guard Information Manual (SGIM) prior to assuming dutieso Carry firearm license/permit on person while on duty (Unless local or state law requires the Contractor to maintain the records)o Other duties as assigned Qualifications What you'll need for us:

SCitizeno Valid state driver's licenseo Speak, understand, read and write the English language fluentlyo Secret security clearance granted by the Defense Security Service pursuant to the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and the NISP Operating Manual (NISPOM) prior to starting work under this contracto High school diploma or a GED equivalency certificateo One (1) year experience as a certified armed Security Officero Basic knowledge of and familiarity in the operation of pan/tilt/zoom camera equipment, automated bollards, magnetometers, x-ray machines, computerized access control systems, CCTV systems, and two-way radio systemso Basic knowledge of and familiarity in the duties of a Command Post dispatcher.
o Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions.
o Certified in CPR, First Aid, and the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
o Certified to perform private security guard services in the state where the services are provided Recommended Skills Access Controls Automated External Defibrillator Cpr Customer Demand Planning First Aid And Preparedness Medical Emergency Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
