8K - $39K a year We are seeking for a Mail Shop Sorter/Helper to assist in the production and preparation of mail in various support activities to ensure timely completion of mail projects.
The qualified individual must have the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language, to add and subtract two digit numbers, and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Acts as a catcher or feeder on a variety of mail shop equipment.
Operates a manual pallet jack and moves pallets to and from the mail shop floor.
Stocks inserter machines with trays and sleeves.
Follows internal procedures for stacking, and tagging of completed mail skids destined for the USPS Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit.
Performs clean-up and organizational duties for mail shop.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE One-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
