Global Steel Company is looking for an Outside Salesperson.
Qualifications needed for the sales position:
Preferably prior sales experience in steel pipe / construction industry, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, or Management desirable but an Bachelor's degree will be considered. Professional appearance, good presentation skills, Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Outlook and the ability to learn other programs. The sales rep will need to have the ability to travel 2 to 5 days per month.

Track and follow sales inquiries with customer and in the marketplace in order to convert these inquiries into orders. Manage customer base and orders to create optimum mix of sales volume, gross profit and market share as determined by the District Manager.
The Sales rep is accountable for achieving goals for sales revenue, sales volume, gross profit, and credit. The salesperson will service the customer base by managing orders through the entire sales cycle. Sales representative must be skilled at planning, organizing, directing and controlling all aspects of an order. Responsibilities include developing inquiries, sourcing material, proposing pricing, arranging transportation, organizing logistics, delivery schedules, supplying details for timely billing, and leading collections.
Resolve claims and effectively manage dispute resolution. Travel to interact with customer base and engineering community on a regular basis. Maintain high visibility for Company in the marketplace and provide a steady flow of market intelligence to the District Manager on market conditions, competitor activity and upcoming projects.
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree.
2. 3+ years of outside sales experience in steel or similar construction industry related products.
3. Local or close enough for a short easy move.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
