Growing label company in Springfield, VA is looking for an experienced customer service rep. Must have experience in flexo, films or print. Must have experience with office management, admin skills, working with clients, opening and taking orders, tracking shipments, etc.
Customer Service Representative
Summary
The primary purpose of this job is to provide service directly to customers, including order taking, overseas order coordination, order tracking, customer liaison regarding the status of customer orders, coordinating the supplier customer order chain and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and information on the status of all orders within the assigned scope of this job. Also provides office and HR administrative support services.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for assigned customer purchase/sales orders including accuracy, timeliness and completeness
Coordinating customer service and routing as appropriate
Performa Invoice Approvals
Requesting updates from and following up with suppliers regarding shipments
Providing updates and communicating with customers regarding shipments
Tracking orders and shipments
Coordinating shipment arrivals and all related document processing
Updating and communicating with suppliers regarding samples and coordinating samples shipping and documentation
Additional Responsibilities
Sending invoices to customers
Enters bills from vendors with documents processing
Coordinates travel, HR and office administrative processing (e.g., insurance, employment agreements)
Researching freight transportation options (i.e. requesting rates from trucking and shipping companies for different methods to find most cost efficient)
Provide general office support as needed including answering phones, taking out the mail, filing, shredding etc.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Minimum of four year College degree
Strong communication skills
Ability to think quickly and be persuasive
Solid facility with current office technologies, including personal computers, office software, cell phones and/or PDAs
Effective at interpersonal relations, willing to be a team member and work extra hours as required
Working Conditions
Average office environment, suburban
Some travel required to meet and sell to customers and supply customer service support
Requires use of, licensure for and ability to drive an automobile or take public transportation, stay in public facilities when required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
