SUMMARY: Responsible for recruiting, researching, interviewing, screening, and referring candidates to clients to fill open job orders. Exercise independent judgment based on training and experience to evaluate whether prospective candidate will meet the needs of the client, taking job requirements, expectations, physical environment, and other relevant factors into consideration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Phone screen potential applicants.
Review applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
Perform reference and background checks on applicants.
Maintain applicant and client files.
Maintain periodic contact with candidates not currently on assignment.
Work with current and former employees to generate referrals.
Actively recruit all qualified referrals.
Test appropriate specialties with computerized or written tests as appropriate.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all applicable state and local government, accrediting agency, and client specific contractual requirements/laws.
Perform all necessary functions for screening candidates:
Verify references and previous work experience.
Update/verify and document all applicable licensure, certification(s), OSHA requirements and health requirements, etc.
Secure assignment evaluations to use as a basis for performance review
Take/document disciplinary action as necessary.
Attend trade shows, conventions, job and career fairs, student workshops and other company/client-sponsored events.
Work with the placement offices and career centers of all local college and technical schools to promote the Company as an employment alternative.
Maintain positive relationships with existing clients, employees, and co-workers.
Develop and pursue new avenues for recruiting candidates.
Provide assistance to other departments as requested.
Provide backup to the other staff members of the office.
Actively conduct internet searches on Monster, school postings, etc.
Ensure that we have job postings on all free local websites and schools.
Attend team meetings.

Excellent troubleshooting skills.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Meet or exceed outbound recruiting call requirement (100 per week).
Meet or exceed interview requirement (15 per week).
Communicate daily with account managers regarding clients and open orders.
Communicate weekly with active, unassigned candidates.
Assume responsibility for the resolution of all calls you take.
EXPERIENCE
Previous staffing and/or recruiting experience.
Previous Customer Service and/or divisional related experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES Computer Skills
Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office suite and Internet Explorer.
Working knowledge of on-line candidate tracking system/database.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree and/or combination of education and relevant experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
