Esko PackEdge Prepress Operator
Candidate must have experience in Esko PackEdge. The primary role of the position will be to produce press ready files with color accuracy, building, manipulating and checking electronic files according to each individual job specifications. Operator should be specialized in creating final stripped production files for all types of label and package printing. Operator should also have a specific skill set associated with, distortion, slitter lines, glue marks and micro dots.
Position requires strong accuracy to detail, ability to multitask and be flexible with assignments. Responsibilities will include independent execution of projects, while working within a fast-paced, deadline driven team environment.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Review job specifications to develop a full comprehension and thorough understanding of requirements.
- Utilize PC based Esko PackEdge to manipulate packaging graphics to specifications.
- Trap, assign screening and cutback curves, stepping, creating final .len or tiff files.
- Utilize content management tools for retrieving and referencing images and files.
- Prepare and print electronic files for various proofing and printing devices.
- Follow all established SOPs and guidelines.
Required Skills.
- 3
years experience as a Esko Package Prepress Operator in a prepress environment.
- Extensive experience using Esko Graphics software including PackEdge, photoshop & illustrator.
- Bachelors degree in graphic arts or related field preferred.
- Ability to comprehend complex packaging printer specification information
- Ability to identify and note deviations from established packaging specifications.
