Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Security Specialist to work on site in Springfield, VA. This person will support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) by providing their expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to the client and/or project team.
This candidate will support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) by providing the following:
Coordinating and monitoring sensitive aspects of an industrial security program, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
Protecting classified government information and publishing security awareness for all cleared corporate personnel.
Developing and implementing security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel.
Implementing policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
Evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
Developing and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
Working to determine who should have classification authority and reviewing plans for document and access controls, transmission of sensitive information and materials, and related information controls and safeguards.
Conducting surveys of industrial or other private facilities to determine the organization's eligibility to work with and store classified and sensitive information.
Orienting contractors to the security program and assisting in initiating the measures necessary to bring a facility up to established standards.
Developing security plans including, but not limited to, access to grounds by employees, vendors, Government personnel, and others; badge and pass systems; and clearance records and control.
Working to resolve issues with industry officials involving security plans and makes adjustments based on costs, alternative methods available, other security programs in place, and similar considerations.
May conduct training programs to make facility personnel aware of security matters and procedures and to alert them to dangers of espionage and sabotage.
Providing advice anf guidance to less experienced staff.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience in physical and personnel security and hands-on knowledge of technologies such as PKI and CAC. The candidate must also have demonstrated experience in DoD and/or the Intelligence Community, including PKI, SMS, and CAC.
Level 3: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience within related field.
Must have 7-10 years of experience
Must include >3 years within DoD/IC
For PKI Specialist and Access Control Specialist Positions:
experience must include 2 years of PKI, SMS, and CAC
Level 4: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience within related field.
Must have 11-14 years of experience
Must include >5 years within DoD/IC
Level 5: Graduate Degree or equivalent experience within related field.
Must have 12-15 years of experience
Must include >6 years within DoD/IC
For Program Manager position: must have >2 years as a Program Manager
Desired Skills:
NGA experience and certification in an Information Assurance field is desired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
