Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is currently seeking a Computer Network Technologist for the maintenance of computer networks located in Springfield, Virginia.
The individual selected will strive to maximize network support and automation, through technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers multiple computing languages and platforms.
Candidates will report to a Software Engineering Section Manager in Indianapolis, IN.
The successful candidate will be involved in network management and maintenance in a secure classified environment, working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
The successful candidate will also:
- Perform daily vulnerability assessment, threat assessment, mitigation and reporting activities in order to provide Computer Network Defense (CND) safeguards of information assets.
- Carry out technical administration of Information Security (IS) in accordance with customer security requirements.
- Monitor Audit logs of all assets for misuse/security issues and take appropriate actions to correct/mitigate identified security issues.
- Monitor virus/malware protection within client infrastructure and any pending virus/malware threats outside the environment.
- Evaluate network asset compliance against DoD security guidelines/requirement and provide guidance to meet the required configuration.
- Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
- Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
- Ensure configuration management (CM) for security-relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented in accordance with baseline.
- Ensure all information system security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
- Ensure records are maintained for workstations, software, servers, routers, firewalls, network switches, telephony equipment, etc.
throughout the information system''s life cycle.
- Participate in internal/external security audits/inspections; performs risk assessments.
- Inform ISSM on technical IS security matters.
- Assist in conduct of investigations of computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to both the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and Program Managers.
- Ensure proper protection and / or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered.
Required An active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph current clearance Solid working experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (ie, system hardening, log management, configuration management (ie, Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, SCCM, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.
)) Solid working experience with Arcsight, Flexconnector, Kiwi, syslog and Tripwire.
Solid working experience with Linux Administration (ie, RH6.
x, RH7.
x) Working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (ie, 2008 R2/2012/2016) Working knowledge of operating system security requirements Desired skills Working knowledge of Scripting and Automation (ie, Ansible, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, etc.
) Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security
Certification (or obtain within 6 months of joining the program) Working technical experience for Windows, Networking, and UNIX-based operating systems Working experience in system hardening, analysis, and vulnerability management Working knowledge in Solaris/UNIX/Linux command line Experience implementing complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments and at an Enterprise level Desire and ability to work as a contributing team member Effective customer and communications skills Ability to work under time constraints, self-starter, customer focused, adaptable and willing to work varying assignments Organizational skills to include:

US Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active US Security Clearance as of 30 days of employment.
Sign on bonus for new hires $20,000 for active Top secret or above clearance $10,000 fby Jobble.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
