Inspectors operate under broad guidance, independently, in collaboration with others, and/or may direct the work of others. This individual will have an opportunity to engage with IC and DoD community members when benchmarking best practices relevant to functions being inspected. Additionally, there will be opportunities to engage with DoD, IC, and the Federal Inspector General community in standing Inspector General forums. This individual must have a strong ethical commitment to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of NGA programs. Due to the requirement to communicate at all levels of an organization, this individual must be willing and able to exercise excellent interpersonal communication. This position is non-supervisory. For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). 1. Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze data and information, and draw conclusions with the ability to prepare thorough, accurate, and objective written reports and correspondence in accordance with CIGIE Quality Standards. Candidate must be able to write complex reports. 2. Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, or in sign language and to prepare and present briefings to all levels of management. 3. Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers, entities being evaluated, and other oversight organizations and ability to work across organizational layers with both internal and external entities. 4. Proven experience with inspections and evaluations techniques. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
A. Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and
Experience:
A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in conducting applied research and analysis, documenting findings and conclusions, performing inspections, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals to 4 years. -OR- C.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in conducting applied research and analysis, documenting findings and conclusions, or performing inspections, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:
1. Ability to move seamlessly from one project to another and respond well to shifting priorities. 2. Demonstrated understanding of or experience with U.S. intelligence missions, and operations derived from experience as an Imagery Analyst, Geospatial-Intelligence Analyst, or All Source Analyst. 3. Demonstrated understanding of or experience with intelligence source operations, missions, processes, and operations derived from experience working in collection management, requirements and integration, source strategies, or throughput strategies. 4. Knowledge of the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, or NGA.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
