Training and Education Officer

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position serves as an Instructor/Course Manager within the Supervisory and Leadership Solutions Branch, Workforce Learning Division, National Geospatial-Intelligence College (NGC). The branch provides leadership, supervisory and professional development learning solutions to support the needs of NGA Workforce. NGC provides GEOINT, leadership, and workforce development education and training for NGA, National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) and the Allied System for GEOINT (ASG). We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and innovative individual to serve as an instructor/course manager within the branch. Instructor duties include but are not limited to:
instruct and facilitate leadership or supervisory courses in accordance with relevant policies, design learning experiences based on workforce competencies, develop content around sound learning objectives, update and complete performance needs and/or gaps analysis to determine the needs of the NGA workforce. Understand the needs of our customers and provide quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Use blended learning to build a successful learning environment. Improve professionally and maintain currency in the courses taught and keep abreast of new development trends and techniques. Ensure courses are properly documented, current and focuses on lesson objectives. Course Managers collaborate with the workforce, other managers and vendors to provide supervisory, leadership, and professional development training to the NGA workforce. They schedule, provide participant communications and manage logistics (E.g., classroom, software, and hardware, pre-course work), market courses, and analyze feedback. Course Managers respond in a timely manner to participants, customers and vendor requests, understand contractual requirements, and assist with instructor issues. They attend to the agile operations of the assigned courses while managing resources, learning products, and services. Course Managers attend to the NGC goal of shaping the workforce, encompassing all pay bands with well-developed expertise intended to meet continually evolving leadership requirements and career paths. A. Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Human Performance Improvement, Adult Learning, Adult Continuing Education, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and
Experience:
A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in the development and implementation of learning strategies and solutions, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in the development and implementation of learning strategies and solutions, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:
1. Demonstrated ability to deliver training in the virtual environment utilizing collaboration tools such as WebEx. 2. Demonstrated ability to communicate consequence and relevance towards improving assigned missions. 3. Demonstrated understanding and experience working with DoD and the Intelligence Community missions to enable effective diplomacy that will influence positive outcomes. 4. Demonstrated experience with Instructional System Design a structured process for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) or other similar methodology.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
