Senior GEOINT Authority (SGA) for Geography and Cartography

The SGA is NGA's principal representative for analytical and technical issues related to NGA Human Geography and Physical Geography disciplines. The SGA represents the Director, NGA in the Human Geography Functional Management role. The SGA collaborates with senior officials from industry and academia, as well as international partners, to guide current and future standards, capabilities, training, and strategic direction. The SGA also has routine and repeated contact with senior intelligence, defense, and national security officials on matters of national and international interest to shape doctrine, standards, operating concepts, and business models that affect the GEOINT enterprise within the US National Agencies, Civil Enterprise, Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD). The SGA for Geography would also lead agency activities for IC outreach and tradecraft in partnership with the other domain seniors and experts. The SGA for Geography and Cartography serves as a senior advisor to the Foundation GEOINT Group (SF) in the Source Directorate and NGA Leadership for all matters relative to Geographic Sciences defined as Human Geography, Physical Geography, and Cartography. Associated activities would focus on data content acquisition; substantive production and analysis; technical system requirements and procurement; and data quality evaluation and application. The SGA serves to complement the essential function and roles of SF NGO's, ensuring integration of Human and Physical Geography. The focus and expected outcomes of the SGA for Geography and Cartography support NGA's Strategic Objectives, Moonshot and Mission Imperatives. The SGA represents NGA at appropriate USG, IC, DoD, ASG and industry forums. The incumbent adheres to and promulgates NGA's mission, vision, and core values, to include promoting a culture of respect. Eligibility for this executive level position will be based upon a clear demonstration that the applicant has experience of the scope and quality sufficient to effectively carry out the assignments of the position. The successful applicants will be distinguished from other applicants by a review of the following Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs), the Intelligence Community (IC) Senior Officer Core Qualification (SOCQ) Standard, and the Technical Qualifications. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
