OCONUS Construction Manager
Job DescriptionRaytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking a Construction Manager to provide oversight and management of construction projects and renovations at OCONUS government facilities.
Position
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for facilities related renovations and construction projects Meet with customers onsite to discuss planning, design and construction Assist in gathering customer requirements, preparing statements of work, determining cost and preparing estimates Manage bid and evaluation processes with local contracting companies Supervise and instruct skilled and unskilled local workforce in trades execution Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and conduct pre-bid and pre-construction site visits Manage planning and construction documents as released to general contractors Monitor and track contractor performance and progress Review and approve all invoices and provide funding status and updates Identify potential design and/or construction problems and provide recommended actions and options before significantly impacting schedule or quality Provide all QA/QC inspections to insure the project is constructed per construction documents and to ensure conformance to design and applicable building codes Required Skills / Knowledge:
6 years minimum experience in Construction ManagementMinimum of 5 years of OCONUS experienceMust have extensive and demonstrable experience serving as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Superintendent, Forman and Project Engineer in OCONUS Hazardous Environments Must have extensive experience coordinating local country contractors and local labor forces to develop achievable solutions with OBO officers and foreign service nationals Must be an effective communicator with trades and contractors and have excellent written and oral communication skillsMust have a level of proficiency with AutoCAD as required to develop layouts and sketches Extensive OCONUS travel required Desired Skills / Knowledge:
Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or additional experience in lieu of degreeCertification as a registered Professional Engineer or registered ArchitectCertified Project Management Professional (PMP)Expertise with concrete foundations and testing methodsProficiency with Maximo Clearance Requirements:
